Each batch of gin is mashed and fermented onsite from New Zealand grown wheat and oats before being carefully distilled in a copper column still. At Fen & Field we celebrate the spirit in gin and we are excited to offer gin drinkers a truly handcrafted gin with an uncommon depth of flavour.

We are genuine and transparent in how we make our Gin. We will always ensure our Gin is honestly crafted, reflecting the true character of Fen & Field.
We are dedicated to the craft of brewing and distilling. We mill, mash and ferment grain to produce the highest quality Gin. There are easier ways but none that require the same mastery and effort, this is the road less travelled, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
At Fen & Field we like to find new ways of honouring age-old brewing and distilling practices. Our Gin is rooted in tradition yet has a uniqueness which fosters a new appreciation.
Our gin is uncomplicated. Our processes are hands on, our ingredients are familiar and readily available, there is no secret recipe or 30 different flavours. There is just the best gin, made with hard work by people who love that work.
It all starts with making the base spirit from scratch using wheat and oats grown right here in New Zealand. This process takes more time and effort but the reward is a true craft gin that you are sure to love.

Fen and Field was born out of a love of crafting exceptional spirits. The rich history of mashing, fermenting and distilling grains to produce Gin, Vodka and Whiskey goes back 400 years and in that time the recipe for success has never changed, grain, water, yeast and dedication.
